Paul has worked as Creative Lead, Art Director, Designer and Illustrator for several design firms throughout New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. After years of work for an impressive list of companies spanning all industries, Paul decided to become self employed and created Paul Kiesche Design, LLC.
Paul has designed for several firms including Murray, JDC Design, The Hal Lewis Group, North American Publishing Company and many others. Some of his clients include Novartis, Cendant, Johnson & Johnson, Disney, FedEx, ADP, MMC and The National Liberty Museum. Check the clients page to see a full list.
Throughout his career, Paul has received numerous awards. He received four American Graphic Design Awards, two awards from the Art Directors Club of NJ, seven awards from Horizon Interactive Awards, the American Design Award and the Award of Excellence from NJ/IABC. In addition to his daily artwork, Paul is also actively involved in the teaching community. Paul began his teaching career in Manhattan when he volunteered at Art Start, teaching art to homeless children. Currently, Paul has the privilege of teaching at the County College of Morris as an adjunct instructor for the Design Department. He also visits several schools a year to speak about the world of design and illustration.
Paul grew up in Lower Berkshire Valley, New Jersey, in a family of seven. Paul is the youngest of five siblings including a twin brother, a brother and two sisters. Always drawn to being creative, Paul began his award-winning career as early as high school when he decided to pursue a life in the arts.

More accolades followed as he continued his studies at the County College of Morris in New Jersey, receiving an Associates Degree in design. Paul studied under Dr. Christine Holzer-Hunt and Professor Yvonne Bandy. During Paul's freshman year at CCM, Paul held an internship at Multi-Media Design, a graphic design company in Sparta, NJ. From there Paul moved on to design for Richard Puder Design, a graphic design company in Dover, NJ. By his junior year of college, Paul had at least 17 illustrations published in national and international publications including a magazine cover.
Paul went on to receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and was the recipient of a Promising Artist scholarship. Paul studied under the guidance of E.B. Lewis, Phil Singer, Mark Tocchett and Ralph Giguere. It was here that Paul refined his skills and began working as a designer for The Hal Lewis Group, a pharmaceutical design agency, and Platinum Advertising. Before graduating, Paul became an Art Director for North American Publishing Company.
After graduation, Paul moved to Manhattan to run a small art department for Athon Communications. From there, Paul moved on to Art Direct for JDC Design, a graphic design firm in downtown Manhattan. Paul pushed on to freelance for USA Weekend, Stromberg Associates, Tiaa-Cref, Turn Up The Music and several other companies. After a few years, Paul settled back in New Jersey to work as Creative Lead for Murray, an interactive agency in Blairstown, NJ. In 2005 Paul turned his freelance business into a full-time working studio, Paul Kiesche Design.
Paul currently resides in Flanders, New Jersey, where he continues to grow as an artist, teacher and business owner. |
